There is truly nothing else in Scouting that is quite like this experience.

Scouts spend the week on Mackinac Island, living in a special Scout Barracks constructed in the 1930's behind the fort, spending the day as Fort Guides, and as honor guard for the flags at most of the important island sites.

Yes, with the week we have (May 31 - June 5 2010), you miss some days of school however most school districts are aware of the program and we've heard of no district that does not excuse absences in recognition of the strong educational opportunity that participation in this activity provides.

Mr. Hussar will be reprising his role as health officer with the 2010 contingent. 
Mr. Zimbler will be reprising his role as head cook for a seventh year with the 2010 contingent. 
Mr. Miller will be reprising his role as assistant cook with the 2010 contingent.

2010 Meeting Schedule  - see below
you must be able to make virtually every one of the mandatory meetings.
You must make arrangements IN ADVANCE with Mr. Marshall if you are unable to
attend any of the meetings below.

Meetings are at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Lapeer

Mr. Hussar, Mr. Zimbler and/or Mr. Miller will probably be attending most all
of these meetings if you need a ride to and from the church in Lapeer.
